Summer Flood 2009
On Sept 20th, some parts of Atlanta received over 15 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. This was after a week of rain that saturated the ground. Prior to these rains, the lake elevation of Allatoona was around 837 feet and full pool is 840. Following the flood, the elevation crested at just over 853 feet.
